On the evening of 24th May The Two Moors Festival held their first fundraising event since 2019. Over 70 people came for drinks and canapés in the sunshine, by kind permission of Lord Ivar Mountbatten at Bridwell Park. The evening was sponsored by JM Finn and Jackson Stops who are photographed with Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Artistic Director and Andrew Welch, Chair of Trustees.
It was a happy evening where guests were treated to Tamsin playing Loure and Gavotte from Partita in E major for solo violin by J.S. Bach, and were given an insight by her into the inspiration and theme for this year's concerts. This was followed by a live auction kindly hosted by Christopher Hampton, and a raffle. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the event made a profit of over £5,500 for the charity which will go towards the cost of putting the Festival.
Comments from guests:
"The Two Moors Festival is a special, unique annual event affording remote communities the chance to enjoy high quality concerts in their locality. A win win for communities and musicians alike. Bridwell Hall was a fitting backdrop to early fundraising with a snapshot of what is to come from Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Artistic Director and outstanding violinist."

"On a beautiful summer evening in May we went to the Orangery at Bridwell Park to learn about the Two Moors Festival.
We had a most enjoyable time meeting some lovely people and were given a very special treat by Tamsin Whaley Cohen. After plenty of wine and delicious canapes the auction and raffle were great fun and raised funds for a wonderful cause."
