After qualifying as a solicitor and working for a few years in the chemical industry, Jim joined a major firm of City stockbrokers where he was a Managing Partner. The firm became part of the Kleinwort Benson Group and Jim remained there and in successor firms for 35 years spent mainly advising companies on raising money and on take-overs and mergers. Jim is interested in a wide range of music and is a keen bird-watcher. He has lived in Devon since 2009.
